Ready for Soccer!!!

Blake has been ready to play soccer for the longest time. Maybe it's because his Uncle Jordan gave him a soccer ball years ago. Maybe it's because he got a soccer goal/ball set from Grandma Lucy this past Christmas. Ever since Christmas he will put on his knee high socks and pull them up (he calls them "soccer socks") and pretend that he is playing soccer. We signed him up for the Great beginnings soccer class through Parks and Rec that starts next week. It will teach him the basics of soccer. This week I was lucky enough to find some cute adidas soccer shoes and shorts at Once Upon a Child for a fabulous deal and he was so excited about his new soccer outfit. (p.s. those are roll down white socks from Old Navy pulled up as high as he could get them)

Ready to play!

More Easter 2012

Ready to go to Grandma Lucy's! Wearing my VT shirt that Uncle Norm gave me.

Playing with Uncle Norm's Starwars characters.

Luke had fun playing schoolbus with Grandma.

Which one is this one Uncle Norm? (Blake is also wearing his VT shirt Uncle Norm gave him.)

We went to Grandma Lucy's house for Easter dinner. The boys got easter baskets with candy and cool Lightning McQueen cars.

Happy Easter......from the bunnies

Brotherly Love

Blake: "I love my brother"
Luke: "You're choking me"

More hugs

Luke is deep in thought

This past week at daycare both of the boys were outside playing in separate play areas when Blake's teacher let him go into Luke's play area to see him. Luke ran over and gave Blake a big hug and then took him by the hand and pulled him all over the play area showing him all of the fun things to play on. His teachers said he was so excited to share this with Blake. When they had to go back inside Blake had to join his pre-K class and Luke had to go with the Red Bears and he cried and fussed because he wanted Blake to stay with him. How sweet.

Super Luke!

Luke decided to try on Blake's superhero costume. He doesn't usually like masks or hats, but he didn't seem to mind it today.

Aren't I cute?

I love the Jeep!

Luke got his own motorized Lightning McQueen car for his birthday in March. It has a button on the steering wheel that you push to make it go. As soon as he figured it out he would drive around the cul de sac until the battery died. Within a few weeks he decided to try out the Jeep. The jeep has a foot pedal and has 1st and 2nd gear and reverse. To our amazement within minutes Luke could easily change gears, push the pedal to make himself go and steer around things he didn't want to hit. Not long after he started working on reverse and can now back up if he gets too close to something and go the other direction. Now the only problem is that we have to take turns because everyone wants to drive the jeep.

Love this Jeep
