Blake had a great Christmas. He got a golf set from Daddy.

He also got a rocking horse.

After he'd opened all his new toys Blake was exhausted. So was Mac.

With another little one on the way we wanted to get Blake's big boy room ready. We had some friends paint murals to go with his bedding set. It turned out really well. Blake will probably move into it this room in a few months.

Blake has 2 toy cell phones, but he would rather play with Daddy's cell phone. He loves to open and close it and push the buttons.

Blake loves to hug on Mac. Mac will let Blake crawl all over him.

Blake loves to play with his football. He'll run all over the house throwing the ball and chasing it.

Moving furniture

Blake likes to help around the house. He recently figured out how to move some of the kitchen furniture around. At least he puts it back where it belongs.

Ready for the road

One of the neighbors had their cozy coupe out one night and Blake just loved riding in the little car. He didn't figure out how to make it go forward, but he sure liked playing with the steering wheel.

Blake had tubes put in his ears today. He's had so many ear infections in the past few months that they said it was time. It only took a few minutes and he was back with us in no time. He slept all day after the procedure.

Blake's first haircut

Blake's hair was getting a little long and more difficult to manage, so we decided that it was time for his first haircut. He didn't like the clippers much, but he tolerated it pretty well.

Zoo

We visited the zoo while we were at the beach. Blake enjoyed looking at all the animals. The monkeys appeared to be his favorite, especially these squirrel monkeys because they moved around swinging from place to place.

Aquarium

We spent one afternoon at the aquarium. Blake really enjoyed looking at all the brightly colored fish swimming in the tanks.

The aviary had lots of interesting birds. Blake seemed very interested in watching the birds.

When we blow bubbles Mac always tries to eat them. Blake thinks that this is very very funny.

Mater

We got Blake a walk behind toy for his birthday. He loves his Mater (from the movie Cars). He will ride on it or walk behind it.

Mom's Birthday

We celebrated mom's birthday while we were out of town. We got her a singing balloon. She loved it almost as much as Blake did. Unfortunately, it got popped by the ceiling fan, but it would still sing, even deflated.

More Birthday

When we got back from Boone Blake had a package waiting for him. Grannie and Grandpa sent him a birthday gift. Blake loved playing the the wrapping paper until he saw the cars and trucks.

We bought this 4th of July onsie before Blake was even born. We've been looking forward to letting him wear it this 4th of July. Unfortunately Blake didn't stay up late enough to see any fireworks.
